Vredeseilanden aims to contribute to viable livelihoods of organized family farmers, male and female, in South and North. We choose family farmers as the starting point in the implementation of this ambition. Income from sustainable agriculture is a key element in our strategy for livelihood improvement. We contribute to their empowerment to improve of organized farmer groups position in the whole agricultural chain.
In these chains consumer demand and markets are the driving forces. Therefore, Vredeseilanden facilitates marketing initiatives identified and defined by the farmers.
